What Makes It A Netbook Computer?
Netbooks, being as they are relatively new on the landscape, currently have additional names put on them such as mini laptop computers or sometimes ultraportables. The name notebook computer being synonymous with laptop.
Computers known as netbooks, are regarded as being from the subnotebooks category, that is a very rapidly – updating class of undersized, lightweight, lower cost laptop computers that’s intended for common computing and the utilization of web-based programs (they are enabled to hook up to the world wide web wirelessly).

So, for now, a netbook computer would likely best be described as a smaller, lower priced notebook computer lacking an optical drive.
